Grey Wolf is a type of wolf called a grey wolf!

A large adult male is 1.8 metres (6 feet long), 0.9 metres (34 inches) high at the shoulder, and weighs up to 80 kilograms (170 pounds) -  (for comparison, a fox is half that length and weighs only 5.4 kilograms  or 12 pounds). It has big feet, extremely strong jaws, runs as fast as 60 kilometres (40 miles) per hour and travels as far as 30 kilometres (20 miles) a day.

Hunts most animals from small ones such as mice to large ones such as reindeer, selects weak or unhealthy animals.

Will live in any environment and has a huge territory, from 25 square kilometres (10 square miles) up to more than 13000 square kilometres (5,000 square miles).

Lives in a pack. Leaders of the pack are called the ‘alpha’ male and female. Uses howling to keep in touch with its pack and warn other wolves off its territory.
